Mental
Handicaps – mentally handicapped patients often cannot be
managed in the office. The use of general anesthesia in the Same Day
Surgery Center is an effective way to manage this group of patients.
Physical Handicaps – physically handicapped patients often
have special needs. For many reasons treatment with sedation or general
anesthesia may be indicated. This group of patients must be evaluated
on an individual basis. |
